Advanced Mechanical Systems for Carbon Fiber Production

Southern MEP was awarded a $6.9M contract to install new equipment and controls at Teijin’s industrial research and development facility, a critical site for the production of carbon fiber. 

We installed advanced HVAC systems, including DX Rooftop Units, with large-diameter exterior and interior ductwork to meet the facility’s complex cooling requirements. 

Our team also installed stainless process chutes throughout the plant to facilitate production processes. Teijin uses this facility to manufacture carbon fiber, which is essential for high-performance products like carbon fiber golf shafts.
